PHILANTHROPY AT FWC
Since 1958, generous women and men have made sacrificial gifts of all sizes to continue Fort Worth Christian's vision to empower students for a lifetime of faith, service, and leadership for Christ in a Christ-centered, college preparatory school. Our Annual Fund is an annual campus-wide effort to raise tax-deductible funds to give our students the most excellent experience! Our annual Auction is planned primarily through the efforts of parent volunteers to raise additional funds for specific projects. Parents and local businesses partner with us in sponsoring our athletic and fine arts programming. Consistent with our Strategic Plan, we also have parents and grandparents who designate gifts to advance the completion of a project on campus outside the funds available through our normal budget. Periodically, FWC engages our alumni, grandparents, parents, and community in larger capital campaigns to transform the campus through additional or upgraded facilities or programs.
God is the provider of all good things! We always encourage giving first to your local church, but after that, as a 501c3, nonprofit organization, we invite you to partner with Fort Worth Christian in your generous giving.
We invite you to give and get involved in the FWC community! MAKE YOUR BEST GIFT NOW!
LEADERSHIP GIVING LEVELS
Leadership giving at FWC includes the generous gifts made annually by some of FWC’s most devoted parents, alumni, and friends. Leadership giving at FWC is recognized at four levels:
- BENEFACTORS - $10,000+
- PARTNERS - $5,000 – 9,999
- AMBASSADORS - $2,500 – 4,999
- MEMBERS - $1,000 – 2,499
Recognition is based on the total amount of gifts and pledge payments made in the fiscal year (Aug 1 – July 31). Payments to Booster Club or Auction or other FWC groups for which there is a value exchange (advertising, experience/meal, goods/services, etc.) are very much appreciated but may not be included in the Leadership Giving levels.
Annual Fund Gifts are Tax-Deductible
To the fullest extent of the law, gifts to the Annual Fund are tax-deductible, unlike tuition payments. This is a significant reason why an Annual Fund exists as opposed to simply raising tuition.
You may wish to join the Annual Fund with a single gift in the fall, a monthly gift over the next 10 months, or you may be able to give multiple gifts as the Lord provides. In last year's Annual Fund, there were both large and small donations, single donations, as well as individuals who gave at the launch of the campaign only to want to give again later. Gifts can be given via check at the front desk of the Norton Administration Building or online.

Other Ways To Give
If your employer participates in a matching gift program (we have many families who participate in this way), please contact the Office of Advancement at 817.520.6200 so we can help you make an even larger donation on behalf of the students at FWC.
Another way to give to our Annual Fund is through paying tribute to someone special with an Honor or Memorial Gift. A letter of acknowledgment ("In honor of . . ." or "In memory of . . . ") will be sent to the person or family advising them of the gift. The gift amount will not be disclosed.
Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Fort Worth Christian School Inc whenever you shop on AmazonSmile.
Please contact the Office of Advancement at 817.520.6200 for more information.
Taxpayers 70½ or older can distribute up to $100,000 each year, tax-free, directly from your IRA to Fort Worth Christian. Even if that amount is greater than your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), the gift serves as your RMD but is not included in your adjusted gross income.
Fort Worth Christian accepts donations of securities at any dollar value. Stocks that has increased in value is one of the most popular assets used for charitable giving, once it has been held for a minimum of a year. Making a gift of securities to us offers you the chance to help the school while realizing many important benefits yourself. Download a copy of our Stock Gift form to facilitate this type of gift to FWC.
In-kind donations of equipment, materials, and supplies may be accepted only if they provide relief to the operating budget or align with our current priorities. Please contact the Office of Advancement at 817.520.6200 to discuss how a donation of this type might help the school.
Under certain circumstances, gifts of real estate may be accepted. Contact our Office of Advancement at 817.520.6200 to discuss your desires.
Individuals and families often want to make a dollar donation to a specific area of the school such as Fine Arts or Athletics. We welcome generous gifts like this! Our first priority is to align your generosity with the directives of our existing Strategic Plan. We invite you to contact our team in the Office of Advancement at 817.520.6200 to discuss ideas that you might have to give to specific areas of the school.
