Band

The Cardinal Band program has had a long-standing reputation for excellence and being a place for many to belong. Band is available to all FWC students in 5th-12th grade. Being a part of the band provides the opportunity for all students to find success as individuals through avenues such as solo/ensemble performances and All-Region and All-State audition processes. Students will also find success as part of a larger community through travel-based music festivals, Marching/Drumline competitions, and Concert performances. It is our hope and belief that all students have the opportunity to seek out and steward well the musical talents and gifts given to them by our Creator. Band members deepen and sharpen their character, work ethic, strength, perseverance, grit, and responsibility through striving to put their best into meeting the expectations set before them.

The Cardinal Band has a unique family environment. We walk through life together, holding each other up during the tough moments and celebrating with each other as we walk through success. We work hard toward common goals and have each other’s backs along the way. Our Band family is not comprised solely of our students though; the families of our band students are another big part of our program’s dynamic. Everyone gets to have a role and a hand in the Cardinal Band Legacy.
