• The theme verse will be chosen from the book of 1 Peter. You will be discussing this book in your Bible classes before this event, but you are encouraged to read it individually and prayerfully consider this selection process. 

We will be offering college essay workshops several times over the summer. At these times, you will have the opportunity to meet with Mrs. Bryant and get help with your college essays. If you choose to take advantage of these workshops, you should come with an essay written that you can discuss with Mrs. Bryant.

Seniors and their parents are invited to an informational meeting about the events of the coming year. 

$400.00 deposit due for Senior Trip to Disney World. You should find the charge in Incidental Billing through Parent Portal. 

7:00-8:30 pm - Join your classmates for a night at the park, food truck, volleyball, etc.

Balfour representatives will be here in chapel to make their presentation regarding the ordering of graduation announcements and caps and gowns.

You must order a cap and gown and tassel for commencement, even if you do not order anything else. An exception would be if you have an older sibling that is approximately the same height that graduated from FWC. You may use that sibling's cap and gown, but you must order a tassel. You do not have to order the bling tassel. The regular tassel is adequate.

Balfour does have an "official" graduation announcement, but they also have a variety of more contemporary announcements that you could choose to order. Ordering your announcements from Balfour is optional. You may choose to order personalized announcements elsewhere if you desire. Balfour will also have a variety of senior items available for purchase.

Don't forget that you must order at least your cap, gown, and tassel from Balfour. Get those orders in now!

• Very soon after this payment is made, no refunds will be possible because we will have made non-refundable payments to airlines and Disney.

• Academic Awards for students grades 9-12.

• 10:00 a.m.
• Seniors are invited to walk the halls of the lower, middle, and upper schools of FWC one last time wearing their Commencement gowns. 
• Female students will be permitted to decorate their jumpers or skirts and wear them under their gowns. All seniors may wear college t-shirts with their uniform bottoms.

• 6:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center
• Attendance is required. 

• During your regular class periods. 
• Any senior who does not meet the exemption criteria will take exams. 
• Return Chromebooks after last exam.

Upper School students take semester exams at the conclusion of each semester. Seniors, during their spring semester, may qualify for an exemption from each of their spring semester exams. To qualify for an exemption, the following criteria must be met:

1. No more than three absences for the semester in the class for which the exemption is being sought 
2. No more than two tardies for the semester 
3. No unexcused absences for the semester 
4. An average of 85% or higher for the semester 
5. No referrals to the office. One dress code violation will be allowed for eligibility purposes

Note: Dual Credit Courses are not eligible for an exemption. Teachers may choose to make the exam mandatory. 

Sunday-Wednesday, May 21-24 - Senior Trip

(Possible change to Monday - Thursday, depending on flight costs.)

• Commencement rehearsal to follow on Barrow Field.

• Seniors arrive at 7:30 for photos and preparation.
• In case of inclement weather, Commencement will take place in the FWC Performing Arts Center.

Please try to send in group pictures from FWC events where the majority of people are current FWC seniors. Even if you send in a photo, it may not be in the slideshow.  Please try and upload the photo to the correlating grade level folder it was taken. As part of our Commencement Ceremony traditions, as each senior crosses the stage, we display a graduation picture and a baby (or toddler) picture.  We have the cap and gown photo, but you will need to submit a baby photo.
