Crystal Ndidi Ibe, a 2009 Fort Worth Christian School (FWC) graduate, exemplifies resilience, excellence, and community spirit. From her senior year at FWC to her current role as a Litigation Partner at the Curry Law Firm in Houston, Texas, Crystal’s journey showcases her dedication to personal and professional growth. Transferring to FWC for her senior year, she found a welcoming environment that eased her transition and fostered her success. Crystal’s impressive academic path and distinguished legal career, coupled with her commitment to community service, reflect the values instilled at FWC and highlight her unwavering pursuit of excellence.

15 YEARS LATER, TWO SCHOOL TRACK RECORDS FINALLY BROKEN!

Kadi Vaughn '24 broke Crystal Ndidi Ibe's 15-year school records for the 100m and 200m

They say “records are meant to be broken” but we didn’t know it would take almost 15 years! During her Junior year, Kadi Vaughn ‘24 (left above) broke Crystal Ndidi Ibe’s school track record for the 200m event (Ndidi ran it at 26.23 in 2009.) At the 2023 District meet, Kadi ran 26:00 flat! (Kadi eventually surpassed this during her Senior year and ran her PR of 25.83 at the Brewer Relays in Fort Worth; Kadi also holds the school record in the Long Jump at 18 feet). Crystal was visiting campus in the late spring of Kadi’s senior year and it was fun to have them take this picture next to the record board in the weight room with Kadi’s name/time soon to be updated in the 200m event. Well done, Crystal ‘09, for holding on to that record for almost a decade and a half. And a big congratulations, Kadi ‘24!

PHIL TAYLOR '81 CONTINUES BLESSING GOLD STAR FAMILIES

Phil Taylor '81 honors the life of fallen Navy Seal "Matt" Mills

God has blessed Phil Taylor '81 with unique painting abilities along with a heart of compassion for Gold Star families who have lost a loved one. In the November 2023 edition of the Alumni newsletter, we featured Phil and his work with the American Fallen Soldiers Project. In May, Phil was on the FWC campus where hundreds of family, friends, and dignitaries gathered to honor the life of fallen Navy Seal Stephen "Matt" Mills".

STEPHEN BAILEY '09 SINGS "GOD BLESS AMERICA" DURING 7TH INNING STRETCH AT A SUMMER TEXAS RANGERS GAME

FWC Class of 1998 grad Stephen Bailey not only enjoyed "ACU NIGHT AT GLOBE LIFE FIELD", but Stephen was also asked to sing "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch. Incredibly talented!
