Volleyball

“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”  1 Corinthians 10:31

The volleyball program at Fort Worth Christian gives our Cardinals athletes a way to express their love for this sport and provides an opportunity to compete at the highest level. We train hard and compete to win. We teach them how to have respect for God, respect for themselves, and respect for others. We teach them to put all their energy into the things that they can control because everything you do in life is to be done for God’s glory since we are His workmanship. We guide them in understanding their attitude and discipline and work ethic are meant to bring God glory. This includes when people are watching, and also when they are not. That is the true measure of character.

Notably, in the past several years, our Cardinal Volleyball team has been a playoff powerhouse. Our parents, students, and alumni fill the bleachers to cheer on our team well into the playoffs! And when the big match is in the Cardinal Gym, the mighty sound of our Cardinal Band fills the rafters and, along with a loud and engaged student section, creates an intensely competitive home court advantage for the Cardinals. Many of our volleyball athletes have gone on to compete in college and continue a lifelong love of volleyball.

Tim Tebow, former college and NFL athlete, once said, “This is my day! I can’t wait for tomorrow, tomorrow is not promised, but I have a chance today. To reclaim my dream, ignite my passion, and live out my purpose. Cause that’s a choice, it’s a choice that I get to make every single day.” My goal as a coach is to train my athletes to have a character that brings God glory.
IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A CARDINAL!
