Upper School

Welcome to the Upper School!

In our Upper School, as well as every other division of our school, we are a “Christ-centered, college -preparatory school where every student is known, loved, and valued, taught excellence in and out of the classroom, and empowered by a biblical worldview.”  This is our mission, and the metric by which we measure our success.

In the classroom students are challenged not only to achieve academic success, but also to think critically about the significant issues we face.  This comes as students learn to evaluate their subject matter through a biblical lens.  If we teach students how to get good grades, but not grapple with difficult topics and to stand firmly for the faith, we will have missed the opportunity to train the next generation of servant leaders.  It is my prayer that every student will approach every subject with the question, “what does the Bible say about that?”

We believe that our academic pursuits are just one way we reflect our stewardship of the talents and abilities God has given us.  Ecclesiastes 9:10 says “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might…”  This means that we expect our students to give their very best in the classroom as well as on the field, court, stage, podium, mission field, or any other opportunity God gives us at Fort Worth Christian.

Athletically, we are blessed with great programs that develop our athletes physically, mentally, and spiritually through the medium of sports.  While we play to win and enjoy great success, our true prize is in the men and women of God who are developed through Cardinal athletics as they become men and women of God who raise families, run businesses, serve in churches, and share His gospel with others.

Our Fine Arts program performs for an audience of One as our students use the talents and abilities God has given them to bring glory to His name through their performances.  We believe that God is the ultimate creator and our opportunities to demonstrate creative artistry are a reflection of Him.

Additionally, Fort Worth Christian School takes the opportunity to serve throughout the year, and especially through our Cardinal Service week in the spring when we are the hands and feet of Jesus around the world and close to home as we work to tell others about Jesus, and meet their physical needs.  We don’t believe that Christian service is something for which we are preparing students someday; we believe it is something in which we should be engaged every day.  That is why we want to get students started now in serving others for Christ.

It is a blessing to be a Fort Worth Christian Cardinal, and I can’t wait to see what God will do in and through the students of FWC.  So whether you are interested in a great academic program, competitive athletics where character is developed, fine arts that reflect the creative inspiration of our Heavenly Father, or opportunities to show Christ’s love to the world, we hope God will richly bless you through the ministry of Fort Worth Christian School.
