Fort Worth Christian School is accepting applications for an Upper School Computer Science/STEM teacher who is willing and able to partner with the Upper School Head and teaching faculty to execute a visionary plan for modern learning while equipping his/her students for a life of faith, service, and leadership for Christ.

Prior teaching experience at the high school level is strongly preferred along with understanding the essential nature of establishing positive and encouraging relationships with high school-aged students. Must be able to work cooperatively with all members of the staff and communicate effectively with parents. Coaching experience and willingness to invest in this arena are desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach modern learning, Computer Science and STEM curriculum from a Biblical worldview
  • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of the connection between technology, computer science, and other fields of study
  • Develop and deliver program curriculum involving hands-on activities and projects using STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts
  • Understand and be able to design, develop, assess, and manage STEM learning experiences
  • Coach and mentor students on the robotics team which competes multiple times during the year and meets in class as well as after school
  • Instruct students on facets of Java, Python, and other relevant technologies
  • Instruct students on how computers work, including the basic science and mathematics behind their operation and the hardware and the software built on those foundations
  • Teach how to write computer programs, algorithms, and programming languages
  • Teach Advanced Placement (AP) level computer science courses (AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science Principles)

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a strong Christian testimony and be a member of a Bible-believing church
  • Serve as a positive Christian role model to our students and pursue Christ-like behavior
  • Possess knowledge of trends, developments, and new technologies as they relate to teaching computer science, robotics, and STEM courses
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required along with demonstrated excellence in all academic pursuits

Fort Worth Christian School is accepting applications for a Lower School Music Teacher to partner with the Fine Arts Director and music faculty in continuing to grow a strong and dynamic strings program currently flourishing at FWC. This position also includes a rotation in elementary music instruction. This position requires an instructor with a passion for music and a vision to equip students for a life of faith, service, and leadership for Christ.

Prior teaching experience in all level music instruction is strongly preferred, along with an understanding of the essential nature of establishing positive and encouraging relationships with high school-aged students. Applicants must be able to work cooperatively with all members of the staff and communicate effectively with parents. Performance and previous conducting experience in this arena are highly desired.

Responsibilities:

  • K-5 General Music
  • MS/US Choral Directing

  • Use technology to improve lesson delivery and recordkeeping
  • Concert performance and competitions at both the upper and middle school level

Fort Worth Christian School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic preschool teacher to enhance and implement an ongoing academic Christian preschool that promotes each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. 

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching early childhood preschool program

Fort Worth Christian School (FWC) seeks an Advancement Associate to begin July 2021. Under the supervision of the Assistant Head of School for Advancement, the Advancement Associate is a 12-month, full-time position and member of the advancement team, with particular focus on supporting the work in admissions and development. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, time-management, computer skills, organizational abilities, and a high energy level. Candidates must be comfortable communicating and marketing FWC’s academic program and school culture. Previous experience in admissions and working with development databases is preferred but not required.

Admissions Key Responsibilities:
● Work with the Director of Admissions and Assistant Head of School for Advancement to execute an admissions plan that meets enrollment goals appeals to a diverse pool of well-qualified applicants;
● Update and maintain enrollment database and enrollment reports;
● Schedule tours and maintain admissions calendars;
● Support the admissions process including phone, online and in-person inquiries and applications;
● Lead tours with prospective families as needed by the Director of Admissions;
● Prepare and manage re-enrollment materials and new student application updates;
● Coordinate student visits, assessments and shadow days;
● Assist with the Director of Admissions with the Parent Ambassador and Student Ambassador programs;
● Help plan and execute admissions events and activities;
● Help guide families through their journey from inquiry through admission and enrollment
and speak knowledgeably about FWC: its mission, culture, and educational framework;
● Build relationships with parents and other community groups within FWC and beyond;
● Provide additional admissions office support as needed.

Development Key Responsibilities:
● Perform accurate gift entry, recording, and processing of all contributions to the School including daily and periodic deposit reports and reconciliation with the Business Office;
● Manage and execute the gift acknowledgment and pledge reminder processes;
● Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the advancement team, provide reports to Business Office as requested;
● Maintain an accurate development database, with an eye towards improving the quality and effectiveness of the database;
● Create and manage the Annual Giving Campaign database and reporting needs for the volunteer committee (primarily in the Fall);
● Support the auction (Spring event) and auction committee including oversight of the auction database (Bidpal) and managing volunteers assisting with data entry;
● Manage the flow of records from the Student Information System database (FACTS) including periodic synchronization to the development database; ensure accurate transfer of information; manage constituent record updates; prep database for annual electronic screening;
● Manage alumni database in Almabase and provide alumni lists and reports;
● Prepare donor lists for Annual Report and related donor listings;
● Run lists, mail merges, prepare reports as requested by advancement, business office, or communications;
● Respond to queries with regard to the annual audit;
● Identify and recommend courses of action on any data quality issues and ensure compliance with School’s policies and procedures around data;
● Provide administrative support for the Assistant Head of School for Advancement.

Qualifications and Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree required; experience in admissions preferred
● Excellent computer skills (database management, Microsoft Office, Google, etc.)
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● Strong interpersonal skills with adults and children
● Strong time-management and problem-solving skills in a deadline-oriented environment
● Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
● Be a Christ-follower whose relationship is defined by having received Christ as Savior and Lord and a pursuit of spiritual growth
● Commitment to the school’s vision and mission
