Kayla English named Player of the Week by Star-Telegram
Fort Worth Christian junior pitcher Kayla English struck out 21 batters in eight innings in the Lady Cardinals' 1-0 victory over Country Day on March 2.
English is 2-1 in her last three starts, with 48 strikeouts, four walks, eight hits and one unearned run. She is 7-1 on the season with 150 strikeouts and eight walks.
"She's been working really hard, every day she gets better and better," Fort Worth Christian coach Michelle Yarbrough said. "She has gotten stronger this year, and she is hitting her spots better because of her hard work."
