Cross Country at District Meet (10/14)
The boys cross country teams dominated the district meet. The varsity boys won by taking the first five places. Jon Harder was the overall champion beating the field by 43 seconds. Riley Gage finished in 2nd place followed by Austin Cotton (3rd), Adam Stefkovich (4th), Kyle Nickols (5th), Tyler Hair (9th), and Sheldon Hair (17th).
The JV boys also won the district championship. Royce Jackson was the overall champion. He was followed by Tanner Stone (2nd), Austin Lee (3rd), Micheal Wright (5th), Max Thomas (13th), and Eric Stalee (19th).
The middle school boys were also district champions and also had the overall champion. Connor Gage won the race by a wide margin followed by Ryan Smith (4th), Sean Sikorski (7th), Michael Mabry (13th), Jack Baldwin (17th), and Arthur Yeager (22nd).
The varsity girls team were district runner up. Hannah Koester finished in the top 10 in the varsity race and Ashley Halek finished in the top 10 in the middle school race.

HS Cross Crountry at Coppell Cowboy Round Up (10/7)
The Cardinal cross country team finished up the regular season at the Coppell Cowboy Round Up on Friday, October 7. The varsity boys team finished in 3rd place behind Highland Park and Mesquite Poteet. Three runners finished in the top 20. Jono Harder ran a strong race finishing in 6th place followed by Riley Gage (16th) and Kyle Nickols (18th).
The varsity girls team finished in 13th place led by Hannah Koester (15:44). The JV boys were led by Tanner Stone (31st - 20:29) and Michael Wright (34th - 20:36). The team finished in 11th place.

MS Cross Country at Southwest Chrsitian Invite (9/26)
The middle school cross country team ran at the Southwest Christian Invite on Monday, September 26. Ashleigh Crawford led the way for the girls team with a time of 19:05. Gracie Nelson was right behind her at 20:28. Connor Gage led the boys team with a time of 14:05. Also receiving medals were Jack Baldwin (15:25), Sean Sakorski (15:30), and Michael Mabry (15:24).

HS Cross Country at Southlake Carroll (9/10)
The Cardinal cross country team had another outstanding weekend. They competed in the Southlake Carroll Invitational on September 10. Running in the 4A and under division, the varsity boys were narrowly edged out for first place. They took second place with strong performances by Austin Cotton, Jon Harder, Adam Stefkovich, Tyler Hair, and Riley Gage.
The JV won the 4A and under division for the second consecutive week. Top finishers on the JV were Royce Jackson, Austin Lee, Michael Wright, Max Thomas, and Tanner Stone.
The girls team was highlighted by strong performances by Miranda Tandy and Hannah Koester who finished 16th and 21st respectively.

Boys' Cross Country
The boys cross country team concluded their summer training and kicked off their fall workouts with a trip to the Davis Mountains. They had a great workout on the sand dunes at Monahans Sand Hills State Park and then traveled on to Fort Davis for the Prude Ranch Races. FWC had 9 runners compete in the half marathon with several winning medals. Austin Cotton ran an impressive 1:35.50 and won first place overall. The team had a great time and is looking forward to the 2011 season.

Boys' Cross Country Team Repeats as State Champs (10/22)
On Saturday, October 22, the varsity boys cross country team repeated as state champions. They won in dominating fashion by placing 6 runners in the top 14 and all 7 in the top 30. Students placing were Austin Cotton (9th, 16:40), Jon Harder (10th, 16:42), Riley Gage (11th, 16:52), Kyle Nickols (12th, 17:13), Adam Stefkovich (13th, 17:24), Tyler Hair (14th, 17:27), and Sheldon Hair (30th, 17:59). Alternate were Royce Jackson, Austin Lee, and Tanner Stone.

Girls' Cross Country at State Meet (10/22)
The varsity girls team competed at the state meet on Saturday, October 22. All 4 runners ran a season best and look forward to next year. Students' times were Miranda Tandy (15:00), Hannah Koester (15:13), Kaitlyn Tharp (15:37), and Maria Silletti (16:10).

Cross Country at Keller Classic (10/1)
The varsity boys cross country team won again. They captured the title at the Keller Classic on Saturday, October 1. Six runners placed in the top 20: Jono Harder (4th), Austin Cotton (5th), Kyle Nickols (11th), Adam Stefkovich (12th), Tyler Hair (13th), and Riley Gage (18th). The JV boys team finished in 8th place.
The varsity girls team had strong performances by Miranda Tandy (15:48), Hannah Koester (15:57), and Kaitlyn Tharp (16:07).
The middle school teams also competed on Saturday. The girls were led by Ashleigh Crawford (17:32) and Gracie Nelson (17:42). Running for the boys were Connor Gage (13:03), Michael Mabry (14:07), Jack Baldwin (14:35), Arthur Yeager (14:58), Sean Sakorski (14:58), Joey Dollar (17:48), and Jimmy Squire (17:43).

Cross Country (9/17)
All of the Fort Worth Christian cross country teams were in action on Saturday, September 17. The varsity boys and girls ran in the Baylor Invitational while the JV boys and middle school teams ran at the Northwest High School meet in Denton.
The varsity boys finished in 2nd place behind Houston St. Thomas. Six runners placed in the top 20 - Austin Cotton (7th), Jon Harder (8th), Riley Gage (12th), Tyler Hair (15th), Sheldon Hair (16th), Adam Stefkovich (18th).
The JV boys finished in 9th place in their race and were led by Tanner Stone (22nd). The middle school girls were led by Ashley Halek who finished in 13th place with a great time of 14:17 in the 2 mile race. Connor Gage paced the middle school boys by finishing in 23rd place.

JV/V Boys Cross Country at Burleson Elk Run (9/2)
Both the JV and the varsity boys cross country teams were victorious at the Burleson High School Elk Run. The varsity boys claimed the championship trophy in the 4A division. Placing in the top ten were Austin Cotton (6th) and Jonathan Harder (10th). The other varsity runners were Riley Gage, Kyle Nickols, Tyler Hair, Austin Lee and Adam Stefkovich. The JV boys won the 3A division due in large part to Sheldon Hair's 1st place finished. He beat the field by a minute. Others placing were Royce Jackson (6th), Tanner Stone (12th) and Michael Wright (13th).

HS Cross Country at Greenhill Relays (8/27)
The Cardinal cross country team began the season at the Greenhill Relays on Saturday, August 27. It was a 1.5 mile relay race. The varsity boys placed two teams in the top 15. The team of Austin Cotton, Kyle Nickols, Adam Stefkovich, and Tyler Hair finished in 5th place.
