The art program at Fort Worth Christian School is designed to expose students to a variety of 2D and 3D mediums with an emphasis on the elements of art and principals of design. Students will explore a variety of mediums and genres. An emphasis is placed on the creation of original student work. It is our goal at FWC, that each and every student will find success in their individual artistic endeavors.
Two-dimensional mediums that may be explored are drawing in graphite and colored pencil, pastel, acrylic and watercolor painting, printmaking, collage, batik, and computer manipulated and generated art. Drawing from both observation and imagination will be practiced.
Three-dimensional mediums that may be explored are, ceramics, glass, papier-mache, and sculpture employing the use of a variety of materials. An emphasis is placed on the creation of original student work.
