Please follow these steps to complete the process for application to
FWC Elementary:
- Contact Kelly Cantrell, Admissions Director, or Shirley Atkinson, Elementary Office Manager. Set up a time to come in for information gathering, get a packet of information, and tour our campus.
- Set up a time to have the student in first through fifth grades to “shadow” or visit for a day of classes. This is not required but can be very helpful.
- Indicate your desire to attend FWC by filling out an enrollment contract and paying the enrollment fee of $400.
- Collect the following data/documents for our files:
Pre-K
-Developmental placement assessment to be done in the spring, scheduled through the elementary office by FWC staff.
Grades K-2
- Most recent achievement test scores
- Last year’s report card, current year’s report card and/or withdrawal grades
- Immunization records
Grades 3-5
- Two reference forms filled out by the following: current homeroom teacher, current special area teacher (PE, art, music, etc)
- Unofficial/official transcript from all schools attended
- Most recent achievement test scores
- Last report card and/or withdrawal grades
- Immunization records
- All of these materials must be received by the elementary office prior to scheduling of entrance exam.
- Schedule entrance exam with Shirley Atkinson, Elementary Office Manager.
- At time of testing, payment of $75.00 testing fee will be collected.
- File will then be reviewed by the principal and counselor. Parents will be contacted and any concerns or obstacles to the process will be discussed at this time.
- You will be informed if you child has been accepted to FWC.
