Choosing the right school for your family is a top priority, and now the decision is more challenging than ever. With more than 400 private high schools alone in the state of Texas, what is the best way to proceed? And coupled with the number and variety of private schools is the neighborhood public school which offers a state-approved education funded by your tax dollars. Many factors contribute to a well-informed decision. Consider the following:

  • your child's needs - What does your child need academically, athletically, artistically?
  • your family finances - Where will you get the most value for your dollar?
  • the school's offerings - Does it have a college-preparatory curriculum? What does the curriculum offer in the way of technology instruction and implementation? What about athletics?
  • the school - Where is it located? Is it accredited? Are the teachers qualified to teach the subject matter? Does it have staff (counselors, nurses, librarians, secretaries) to support the mission of the school? What is the school environment like? What do class sizes look like? How does one make application?

At Fort Worth Christian School, we believe that we offer what many parents are seeking in a school for their children. We have 865 students on our campus - 317 in elementary, 206 in the middle school, and 342 in the high school. Our size enables us to offer many "extras" such as dual credit and AP courses, but remain small enough so that our students don't get "lost in the crowd."

After an investigation of other schools of our size, you will discover that Fort Worth Christian School is a great value when considering tuition and fees.

The fine arts classes are housed in the Campus Center along with our cafeteria/auditorium, at present the newest building on campus. Our state-of-the-art science and technology center opened in the spring of 2008. In addition to our honors and AP science courses, the additional technology classrooms will facilitate our offering A+ and N+ computer networking certification classes, as well as classes for students interested in developing Christian video games.

Our athletic program encourages students in grades 7-12 to participate in multiple sports. The gymnasium in the Mitchell Building has been recently renovated. The Cardinal Gym is home to our state championship girls' varsity basketball team as well as the boys' sports teams and the volleyball teams. We also have a softball field, a baseball field, and "field turf" football/soccer field with a seven-lane track.

Located on a beautiful 40-acre campus in northeast Tarrant County, we are close to several communities and are easily accessible from NE Loop 820, Hwy. 26, or Rufe Snow Drive. We have several buildings on campus to meet our students' needs.

Fort Worth Christian School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and is recognized by the Texas Education Association (TEA). The school is also a member of the Texas Christian Schools Association (TCSA), the National Christian Schools Association (NCSA), the Texas Association of Non-public Schools (TANS), Texas Independent Schools Consortium (TISC), and the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS).

But brick and mortar and even accreditation do not make a school great. People do.

Our teachers are some of the best. They hold credentials and experience that make them outstanding educators. Professional development is part of every teacher's portfolio, providing for our students a model of lifelong learning. Furthermore, our faculty and staff members are all dedicated Christians, thus their standards of excellence - professionally and personally - are founded in biblical Truth.

We believe that this is the most important aspect of a Fort Worth Christian School education: the spiritual benefits that you will find at Fort Worth Christian School will outweigh other factors. Each student attends Bible class and chapel daily. Once a month all students gather for a combined chapel. We also have a campus minister who serves the entire campus and mentors high school students.

We think that Fort Worth Christian School might be just the place you're looking for to meet the needs of your family. Call to schedule a tour or just stop by for a visit - we think you'll agree.
