Quest for the Crown (April 20, 2011)

The elementary librarians, Nora Kay Holmes and Sharon Smyth, hosted the annual "Quest for the Crown" competition on Monday, April 20, in the multi-purpose room of the elementary school. Top readers from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades competed for twenty-four positions on four teams. Each team chose a name/theme and dressed accordingly. The names selected were Ninjas, Hobos, Super Spies, and Cartoonies.

After three exciting rounds of brain-boggling questions, The Hobos flexed their mind muscle and were declared the winning team with the Cartoonies coming in as a strong second place team.

Thank you to the parents who attended and showed support for these very dedicated students. We are blessed to be able to work with your students each day. The response from those who participated and attended clearly declared this to be our most exciting competition ever.
