It is our belief that as educators we are to teach our students how to apply their Christian beliefs to their daily walk. One way to do this is to show them how to be servants as the example Jesus has set for us. We feel that if they are introduced to volunteering while still in high school, they will continue throughout their life.
Students can choose to volunteer for one of the organizations on the Pre-Approved List or select an organization on their own by following established guidelines. They can begin earning hours during the summer preceding their junior year and have until the end of the following summer to complete the requirement. All hours are earned outside of the school day. However, many volunteer opportunities are provided on our campus by various organizations. Students are guided through this process by a staff member who provides them with updated lists of organizations needing assistance and monitors their progress throughout the year.
