The most important element of any school is its teachers. Our teachers are nurturing, creative, state-certified professionals who love teaching children. Our goal is that FWC students look forward to every day of learning and are challenged daily to use their talents to glorify God.
ACADEMICS
- Language Arts – Our most important goal in this academic area is that students learn to love reading. We use a structured phonics approach to teach students to read. In first through fifth grades, our language arts curriculum is Macmillan/McGraw-Hill.
- Mathematics – Kidergarten through fifth grades utilize curriculum developed by the University of Chicago. Everday Mathematics is scientifically researched-based and proven to build students’ mathematical knowledge from the basics to higher-order thinking and critical problem solving. Younger students focus on the building blocks of number sense and math logic.
- Bible – A Christian worldview based on biblical principals is the most significant gift we offer our students. Even the youngest elementary students can learn about God’s word and His plan for their lives. All students study a non-denominational curriculum from Positive Action for Christ.
- Science – Combining scientific facts and hands-on experiments makes science come alive. FWC is using the Nancy Larson science curriculum.
- Social Studies – God’s world and the stories of history are exciting to young children. Our younger students study various units that teach about our world, our country, and our community. Third and fifth grade students spend the year learning more about U.S. history; fourth grade students center on Texas history.
- Chapel – Elementary students attend daily chapel consisting of songs, prayers, and Bible readings led by teachers, special speakers, and students. Parents are welcome to attend.
- Fine Arts - All students have specialized teachers for art, computer, music, physical education, Spanish, and library. Students are graded in the subjects and a well-developed curriculum is provided.

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE
Childcare is available in the elementary building before and after school. This service is provided by Klubhouse and is not included in our tuition.
