PARENTS WEB
Parents Web is the online communication tool for parents, teachers and students. With Parents Web, teachers have a website for their classrooms that allows them to post assignments and grades, schedule events, and write notes. Students may use Parents Web to get class assignments, find learning resources, and check dates for activities. Parents can use Parents Web to view scheduled activities for their children, find out current grades, assignments, and attendance, check their account status, and communicate with their children’s teachers. Parents Web also makes it easier for parents by compiling all the information for one family with a single username and password. With Parents Web, everyone can easily be informed and communicate.

GRADING
Progress reports for students in kindergarten through grade 2 are sent home during the third and sixth weeks to the parents of students in need of improvement. Report cards are sent home each nine weeks for students in PK through grade 2. For students in grades 3-12, report cards are only posted on Parents Web.

The grading scale:

A 90-100
B 80-89
C 70-79
F 69 or below

CONDUCT
Responsibility is the foundation of conduct. Therefore, we require that our students be responsible for their own actions and work habits. Our goal is that our students learn to be self-disciplined and responsible for their own behavior. We believe that the conduct and work habits of our students are as important as academic achievement.

DRESS CODE
FWC students wear uniforms. All uniforms are available from The Cardinal Store.

COUNSELORS
We have three counselors whose goals are to assist our students to develop life skills, such as conflict resolution, communication skills, decision-making, refusal skills, and anger management. They also are involved in classroom guidance and individual counseling. The high school counselor provides direction in scheduling classes for credits toward graduation. The Director of College Counseling assists the counselor in providing scholarship and financial aid information and transcripts and letters of recommendation for students.

NURSE
FWC has two registered nurses on campus.

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
FWC follows the Texas immunizations law which states that students are not permitted to enroll in school until all immunizations are met. This requires that the school must have complete immunization records on each child.

LUNCHES
Hot lunches are served daily in our school cafeteria. Menus are posted on Parents Web and sent home with elementary students at the beginning of each month.

AUXILIARY
Within the FWC family, there are three adult organizations serving the school: Associated Women for Christian Education (AWCE), Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), and the Sports Booster Club. Parents are encouraged to join and get involved.
